I was thinking of that too! Sometimes when you put stories in your library, people may think you've read them and/or are promoting them, but sometimes I just put them there to read in the future. This would be very helpful! :)

That's an interesting idea.  But what concerns us more is why would you add a book to the library, but cannot find it there?  Can you perhaps submit a ticket here in this page and let us know exactly what book you added, but not shown?

Exactly what Kayda said. It's not that they're not there, it's that I have so many in there that it's hard to find them, and because they're not at the top of my library and I can't see them when I go to my profile, so I often forget they're there to read.

I agree with the 2 posts above me, and also, some people use their libraries to promote the stories they like or are currently reading, and other times they use it to keep stories they want to read later... I agree that it would be nice to have those two things separated. It might also be nice to receive a notification each time a chapter is posted in one of the books in the currently-reading library? Or maybe they can be kept in the same library, but you can assign a status to each story (ie. reading, not-read-yet...)?

i guess this is somewhat related to on the App, when you look through your library on there, it shows you when someone uploaded and then when you click on the story, it starts off with where you left off.

I think a read later button would be awesome because I would check the library maybe one every two weeks and I sometimes won't remember how many chapters the book had before and I would find out that they are already 3 or 4 chapters ahead of what I've read.

This is actually a great idea. I think it would help us to separate the stories we really want to read if we get time and the stories that we are following to read. This also helps with the case that if you are willing to read someone's story to give them feedback but you don't have time at the moment but you want to read it later. Going through your favorite discussions to find which stories you already read and which ones you didn't is really hard. So I would highly suggest that there should be a READ LATER button.

I completely agree. I have just joined and I have already forgotten which books I planned to read later. Also when I get a request I would prefer to go to the book and click read later instead on writing it down and then losing it. Please add this feature. It would help your readers and writers.

its a good thought to bring across, but i would like to bring a point across that if you got a reminder and u were doing something else u would ignore it and forget to do it later. and the library, when the book is added it should show up and u can c it as the first one because its on the first page. and also if you have an iPod, iPhone, droid or something along those lines you can buy the wattpad app for free and hook up your acount to it. then you just scoll up and down the listing to find the story u want and read it, and when u update to see if anyone uploaded it leaves a star  next to it so u no which ones to read, that way u can keep track of yr stories. also if you need to read a story and u forget, u can just choose the option  on yr profile page to send u updates of when people upload. if anything, the library should just be made to be used easier. an frankly, wouldnt it get anoying having reminders pop up while your reading or writing, editing or chating with your friends. just  though i might point these things out, but i do wish that they would make it easier to use the library. maybe be able to organize it from A-Z, author, stories un-read, or resently not read, uploaded stories, etc.

and if also the problem is not remembering where you left off or something then shouldnt it be like a bookmark button like ive pointed out?

I really think is a good idea cuz the library only helps you to store your favorite books. Personaly when I see that somebody added my story to their library I expect a coment or a vote from them, but maybe they only intended to say that they will read it later. And another fact is that you need to make a difference between what you already read and what you intend to read.

Well totally agree with the read later button! Or if you couldn't do that how about marking READ - Last page you got to. That way you'll know what you've read and what you haven't plus when added with alphabetic search or a Recently added sorter too. You know like three,two,one weeks ago. Get it?

Exactly!!! I never want to add a bad book to my library, because I only want to showcase really good books, but I would like to read the books anyway!

• I love the idea... the library is good but it only shows a certain amount of books in the profile page and its a hassle to try to find the book you want to read by clicking on the library.  Especially when readers are pressed for time like work, school, ect.  More quick and effective..

One's wattpad library should be for what one is supporting, favourite stories and stuff you're reading regularly. However what if you want to read a lot of stories your friend suggested, you just want to check a lot of stories out that you might not want to follow but just want to give a read? Sort of like watching something later on YouTube. This such a great idea! If I added one hundred stories to read on my library, to read later, maybe tomorrow, to check out, to see if I liked them, people would think I was supporting there story or something. Not that's that is a bad thing, but if you just want to check something out it might not mean you want to follow the story. I am not sure if that makes any sense, I guess one can always make a list of urls to read later but hum.

Pretty much I had the app WAY before I even knew the website existed and you need to make it EXACTLY like the app. when you open your library in the app...it puts the ones that recently were uploaded on the top with a star next to them but doesnt send you reminders while you are reading another story..and when you open the story it puts you where you last stopped reading like a bookmark which is usefulalso on a different note but related....i also like how you cant see the pictures or comments when you are reading on the app because sometimes people have ideas in their heads about what the people look like and they dont want to see the picture because it will ruin their image of the charachter......truthfully, no offense wattpad but i was a little dissapointed when i found the website....i enjoy the app a lot better also because before you exit a story it asks you if you want to save it to your library....MAKE IT JUST LIKE THE APP AND YOU WILL HAVE A LOT MORE SATISFIED PEOPLE.....just saying

Totally agree!!! There should be a read later button in wattpad. Also like the hone saves till where you have read, that should happen on the website. Because many times we want to mark a story cuz they asked us to read, we dont know iof it worth being in the library. but the list formed should be only visible to the user.

YA THAT    WOULD BE  NICE AND USEFUL THOUGH I THINK IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME FOR WATTPAD TO ADAPT TO THIS FEATURE... Definitely, I would love it, I've failed to read so many interesting sounding stories because I've forgotten about them until later when I can't remember the names.

There are certain websites where people write down what the read, are reading and will read. 3 different sections :D

I absoloutly support this idea!! Wattpad would be doing us a favor if they actually do that! I mean, a reminder tab can come up whenever we log on so that we remember to continue reading :D

I agree with all of the above ;-). However there might be an easier way to implement this: Ad shelves to the library. 1 for 'read', 'to be read' and 'reading now'. That would be so usefull!

I think this is a great idea! Maybe it can be added to you're library, and there could be a little symbol next to it that's like 'read later' and it will let you know which one's you need to read?

I like this idea. I also wish we could have a library like the one on the app, where you can press the 'update' button and you can see which story was updated instead of looking for the story throughout wattpad. I don't know how you guys read updates but I have to look through my library and see which one was updated

I also hate the fact when I go back to a book I have been reading, and yes I don't vote on every chapter, only the ones which I feel really deserve it.  Anyway I want to know if there is a way to know which chapters/stories you have read.  Sometimes I have to check through the comments before I can move onto the next chapter, maybe changing the vote colour button to read, when you've read it, or a read chapter button, which will make my life easier, and others too.  I a sure....;-)
