First you can make a book or do it just one chapter at a time, its up to you but making a book and then adding the chapters to that book makes it easier for your readers :)  and you can use just one picture for the cover of the whole book yes.

but for each chapter you can include a link to a picture or your tube video :)

I want to create a group story but my different poems do not appear in the list.  In other words, I can't transfer any of what I've written.  Can anyone help?

@Andre the only thing I can think of is that your poems are in seperate stoy groups of their own. Try moving them out of these groups first and then into the big collection of poems.

They are all stand alone poems.  they are not part of any groups.

Ah yes, I know, but what if they are alone, each in separate story groups of their own? Wattpad now sends all standalones into groups of their own. It may be a problem with this recent change.

So how do i prevent this?  Or how do I undo this?  Is there a way I can track them down and get them together?

First of all, this was only a theory of mine. Just open up each poem, and move the stories out of those groups. But, I've never experienced this before. Standalones seem to work fine for me if I want to move them somewhere else.

An book cover is just an image file. So, any image can be uploaded. If you want you can edit the image with an editor like Paint.net. But remember, you must have permission to use any image file that you use. Don't just get one from google, chances are it isn't free to use.

What do you mean by lable? You could just write down somewhere which books you've read or not if that's what you mean, I think that's the only way.

Hi!I am facing some difficulty in creating a story group. the requirement was to have a title, a describtion, in this story and available . i am not sure what i am suppose to do for 'in this story' and 'available' box. i did see 4 buttons between the 2 boxes. please help me.

@half_prince okay, lets sya I had five poems, each seperate from eachother. But, I wanted to move them all into one story group.

So, I would open the story group (this is usually done by clicking 'manage' in the my works section). You will see two colums, one called 'In this story' and one called 'available'. All five of my poems would appear in the available section. Any story is the available section is not in this story group. I would highlight the poems I want to move into the group and I would click the << left pointing double arrow button. This would move them into the story group. If I wanted to move them back out of the story group, I would press the >> right pointing arrow button.

Now, there are two other buttons as well, UP and DN. If I highlight one of the poems and click UP then it would move up in the order of which the poems appear in the group. SO, I can use this to arrange the poems in any order I like.

You only can use 1 picture for the book cover and you can write the book one chapter at a time. I hope that answers your question!

If you fan someone, you'll get notifications of form all their stories. You'll get nothing if it's just in your library though.

@blue-girl For the first part, maybe they've only read the first chapter, then left to do something else. As for the second part, that depends. Was the image copyright free? It more than likely isn't if it's from google.

If it's not copyright free, then technically, it's theft to use it. As for the second question, it's just when they've read it to look.

@georgiexx2011 a cover is nothing more than an image file. I don't think that you can do it on an Ipod though. Just take a picture, or get a copyright free one from the internet (it MUST be copyright free, not just any image from google images) and then use an image editing program like photoshop (which costs) or the GIMP or Paint.net (both free)

People seem to be adding cast members to their story's and are appearing beside thier story's when i read them.... how do i do that?

Open your story (don't edit it, just open it) and scroll down a little bit. To the right, should be an area in which you can add a cast.

Beth-Sanderson the same way you'd fan anyone else. Go to the author's profile, and look above their Fan Gallery. there should be an option to becoem their fan there.

Well, open your story, and instead of clicking 'save' click 'save and publish'.

First, open the drop down menu at the top where it says 'Hi *yourname*' and select 'my account'.

If they can send you a raw copy of their story, you can edit it, and send it back to them. But there's no Wattpad function for this.

When a user changes a grpahic on their own profile, they will be unlikely to see that changes for at least 24 hours.

how do you make a chapter? how do you name a chapter without naming it your title?

Can someone tell me if you have to create a cast for every single chapter of your stories?  Or can you just do it in the opening chapter and it works for all chapter after that? Because if it's the latter, I'm not seeing my cast show up in other chapters unless I add it again, and again, and again. Ya get the picture...LOL.  Anyway, I'm kinda confused about it. Any help or explanations would be appreciated. :-)

Okay, I was wondering, if I want to upload on chapter of my story at a time, when its open to edit do I have to hit Save and Publish to upload that chapter alone, or is there another way?

I'm having trouble uploading a cover to a story. I go to My Works, click on Manage, highlight the story in the third box and mark it as completed.

When I click on the edit button under the "wattpad" cover it doesn't allow me to click "upload", and I can only "create" a new cover. I already have one on my computer so I don't need to create one. How do I get the "upload" button to work?
