Can you walk me step by step though what you are doing?

1. Go to your story page as if you were reading it

2. click on "photo" located in the upper right hand corner, it should open a box right under

3. Paste your link for the picture and your picture should show up 

Everytime i try to copy a link. as soon as i press enter my screen moves downward to the ads thing and does nothing else.

saaame!!! I dunno what to do!!

Hmm, then just go to your story (click edit) and the whole page will come up with where you can edit your story. You see the side where it says OPTIONS? Click Advanced, then enter the URL link.

okay, I have the same issue, and I've tried both of what was suggested by sleepy_souls and writing_dreamer. I've noticed that the link for the picture stays when I revisit or re-attempt, so is there some sort of waiting period before the picture appears? or is it visible to others and not me because I'm logged in? I would like to know if I'm just doing it wrong, or if I just need to be a little patient.

I'm using the direct image link (its a flickr image), not html or code or address bar url.

I just want to know either how to see my picture, or if it's visible already to other readers!

For you to picture on the side, you need to save it on to something like photobucket,com. It's completely  free to sign up. You need to upload the picture you want onto photobucket, once its save copy the url and post it on the 'photo' paste the url, save and your picture should be there. Same goes for slideshows. (:

Brent, if you copy this image link into your URL bar at the top, does it take you to a webpage with nothing at all but that picture?

no it doesn't. I take it that makes a difference?

can I do that with flickr? if so, how? or do I need to make a supplemental account elsewhere to post photos as we're discussing?

idk if id be much help ... but my pictures always show up.

1. i look for a picture

2. i copy the link

3. i go to wattpad, and click "my Work"

4. I'm usually doing a new chapter, so i click add chapter. 

5. when it takes you to the editing screen, you will go to the right side where the tags and stuff are placed at and hit "Advance" at the top.

6. then you'll click on "Photos" and paste the link.

It should show up after that.

so i just copy what's in the little bar at the top of the screen (like where you refresh and stuff) then paste it?

Yes. But remember to paste it into the correct box.

And make sure it's the direct image link that you copy, i.e., it'll be on a page with nothing but the image.

Everytime I put the URL link in the photos box it always says it exceeds the 240 letter limit...Help?

@kyannshii you can't put links at once. what you can do is get on photobucket or a site like it and create a slideshow and place the link it.

are you sure you're putting it in the right place? and if so, where are you getting the picture from? 

I have my cover story up, But I need to put a picture of my main character in my story. It's a picture on weheartit...Help? Thanks loves. :)

@writing_dreamer ummm, do you have another way to put images on wattpad? Cus last time I check we're supposed to put the LINKS to the images and the only way to do that is to COPY and PASTE even if the image is NOT copyrighted. That's the only thing I'm telling her to do. if they're copyrighted or not its her problem, I'm just answering her question. She never asked how to know if an image is copyrighted or not, she asked how to put her character image on her story and I answered. anything else is none of my concern. **Not trying to sound mean, but its the truth. I get your concern, but it's not answering her question, and I'm 100% sure she wants an answer not something completely off topic.

btw @SydneyMarieStyles you post the link to whatever picture you're using by clicking 'edit' on whatever chapter you want to put the picture and clicking advance to the right where you put the tags, categories, etc. there's a section that's going to say photos, you have to paste the link there. the direct link works best. hope it works. :)

I've done everything that's been told to me so far, but my problem is I've copied and pasted the link onto the page. I've tried it with the original site it came from, and then I tried it a different way by putting the photo on my Photobucket and doinfg the link to that. M,y problem is when I go onto the chapter to see if the photo is there, it just shows this little red "x" and the title of my chapter where the photo should be. How can I resolve this?

It's okay. I sorted it :-)

Basically what you do is make a photobucket. You upload ur pic. Scroll over the pic you want, it should have a small list. Click direct link and it is automatically copied. Copy that into the photo link on wattpad. Done :D

You just need to find a picture, right click, copy and paste to the Wattpad!

That link does not exist. Try and click it yourself, see what happens.

search on google for the picture you want and click on it, when it comes up bigger right click and click "copy image location". Paste it in the image/photo space and the photo should show up.

Okay um.I'm also new here.I tried to add photos on.It wokred on google images or something but not on other sites like 'weheartit' or 'polyvore' I don't want to use google images!Help please!

If you want to know how to upload pictures from your computer to your story, then try uploading them in your facebook. Once you're done, right-click on the picture and click 'Copy Image Location'. Then, paste it to your story's multimedia. Hope I helped someone. :D

If you find the picture and look it up, then it will show more pictures of it. When you find it, then click one. Once you do that, then click full size image.

It will then put the picture on a empty page. Finally copy the www. thing and go to your wattpad story. 

It might be easier if the story is already posted, click the picture button. (Looks like a blue box) paste the website on it and that should work!

i also experienced it and i dont if this can be a help,

first look for the image

second click the image

third click the right mouse and choose copy image link

fourth then paste it on the box which is on the right side PHOTOS

and click save..

i tried it and it works for me..

Whenever i out in the link it dosent show up with the picture it just gives me a weird paper looking thingie HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Step 1 : Choose an image and save it to Your Pictures Document or whatever.

Step 2: Go GOOGLE and search PHOTOBUCKET

Step 3: Sign up or Login.

Step 4: Upload a photo.

Step 5: Edit.

Step 6: Save as a copy

Step 7: Click 'ALBUMS' and My Albums

Step 8: Scroll to the photo you've just edited. There would be a few links below your photo. Choose the one that starts with http://blah blah blah OR If there are no links,scroll to your photo and there would be a SHARE button below. Click and save your settings by ticking on the direct link one.

Step 9: Copy and paste at the Wattpad > MY WORK > Edit > Advanced > Photo > Save OR Wattpad > MY WORK (Click on book title) > Go to chapter 1 and on the right there would be some icons > Photo > Just paste it on the link there and click OK.

There you have it :D

ok Ive done adding the link when I was writing my chapter however when I went to upload the story I see that my video has worked but the image comes up blank with a green little box thing, now i tried the slide show thing via photobucket but it comes up blank too, I even tried just copying the link from the bar on the slideshow but the image still comes up blank, help me please, cheers

What website do i get the link from?

First step : Make a Photobucket account if you don't have one.

Second Step : Post the picture on Photobucket, the picture you want to post on your Wattpad Story.

Third Step : Click on your photo and on the side it says " Links to share this photo " and there will be a link beside the words " Direct " just click the link and it will auto copy.

Fourth Step : Go to Wattpad, click on your story you want to put the picture in and make sure you clicked " Edit ".

Fifth Step : There will be something on the side saying " Basic l Advanced " click Advanced.

Sixth Step : Go to the side where it says " Photos " and Paste your link there.

Seventh Step : Save it, and go to your works and click on the Chapter you just posted the picture on and it's there!

it goes up but then i cannot see the picture?
