This page will teach you how to report a 'published' work that you do not own being copied onto Wattpad. At Wattpad, we refer to 'published work' as any books/comics/audiobooks that have an ISBN, ASIN, or equivalent, and any Wattpad Original or WEBTOON Original. 'Published work' also refers to movies, television shows, or video games, and it is a copyright infringement to copy the events or dialogue and upload it to Wattpad.
How to report on the Android app
Reporting on the iOS app:
1. When on the main story page of the story you believe is a copyright infringement, click the flag located at the top right-hand side of the app above the cover image
2. When asked why you are reporting this story, select "Copyright Infringement"
3. When asked if you are the original owner, select "I am not the original copyright owner"
4. Select "This is a copy of Published work"
5. In the text box, please paste a link to a website that provides a free preview of the work (such as Amazon/Kindle or another retailer that allows you to view the first few pages), and any necessary details about the alleged infringement. This way we can compare it with the allegedly infringing content on Wattpad as we will always investigate the report before removing the alleged infringement. Next, click 'Report' in the top right to submit the report.
