Viewing images, GIFs and videos in a story

Wattpad stories are more than just words; they can also contain images, GIFs and videos to help the story come alive.

To view media in a story, you must have a strong enough internet connection. You will see a grey box if the media has not been downloaded.

There are two types of media:

  • Header Media: images, GIFs, or videos at the top of a story
  • Inline Media: images, GIFs, or videos in the text of a story

Select a type of media to learn more about it:

Header Media

Header Media appears at the top of a story part. There is a 1  photo and 1 video limit.

Tapping or clicking on an image will enlarge it; tapping or clicking on a video will start the video.

Inline Media

Inline Media images, GIFs, or videos in the story text. There is a limit of 20 images/GIFs or videos in the text per story part.

Tapping or clicking on an image will enlarge it; tapping or clicking on a video will start the video.
