Issues copying and pasting onto Wattpad

If you're experiencing issues with formatting when copying and pasting into Wattpad, here are some suggestions:

• Try copying and pasting using the web version of Wattpad (www.wattpad.com). These issues are more frequent when copying and pasting using the app.
• Try copying it from Google Docs. We also recommend using Google Docs to create drafts and copy them over to Wattpad through the website. If you've used another application to write your story, such as Word or Notes, you can still copy the content from there and paste it into Google Docs, before repeating the process on Wattpad. 
• Try using a different browser. For instance, when using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, you may find that your formatting gets stripped once your work has been pasted into Wattpad (i.e. style formatting and spacing/alignment). 

Em dashes turning into hyphens

We're aware that em dashes may turn into hyphens after publishing a story, and we're investigating the issue. However, we don't have a timeline for when it will be fixed, and there's currently no workaround available.
